U.S. Bank Expands Presence in Houston with Private Wealth Management Office in Memorial City

Houston, TX — Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), the parent company of U.S. Bank, is set to bolster its presence in Houston by opening a state-of-the-art private wealth management office in the newly constructed Memorial City office tower. The nine-story building, located at 9753 Katy Freeway, is part of a dynamic mixed-use development led by Memorial City developer MetroNational.

Scheduled to commence build-out in February and reach completion by May, the 5,697-square-foot office signifies a strategic move by the nation's fifth-largest bank to cater to the affluent clientele in the region. The investment in this premium location underscores U.S. Bank's commitment to providing top-tier financial services, targeting individuals with net worths ranging from $3 million to $75 million.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the development costs are estimated at $714,815. However, these figures are preliminary and subject to change as the project progresses.

Kristin Kelly, a spokesperson for U.S. Bank, highlighted the bank's growth trajectory in Texas since its entry into the market in 2005.

Despite lacking physical branches in the region, the bank boasts a substantial local workforce and plans to further expand its operations, evidenced by the upcoming private wealth office in Dallas.

"Texas is an exciting growth market for U.S. Bank," stated Kelly. "We are incredibly excited to have recently expanded our presence to include Private Wealth Management in Houston and Private Wealth Management and Ascent Private Capital Management in Dallas."

The Memorial City private wealth office will be housed in the recently completed office tower, which achieved full occupancy earlier this year. This prime location has attracted major tenants, including Callon Petroleum Co., which secured 107,171 square feet for its corporate headquarters.

As U.S. Bank solidifies its position in the thriving Texas market, the bank aims to contribute to the state's economic growth through investments in new products, services, and job creation.
